IHome’s pantheon of docks, clocks, and speakers for the iPhone and iPod are bonny hard to keep straight, but their flagship iP90 alarm clock docking caste has always been one of their more visible products… and now they’ve updated it with a host of new features that overstate the iP90 a better buy than before.

Like its previous incarnation, the iP90 will charge and play music from the iPhone and iPod, and functions as a spieler dock, a dual alarm clock and an AM/FM radio. The new iP90’s most in a jiffy obvious improvement, though, is a larger and more clear display, as well as improved rugged quality thanks to Reson8 stereo speaker chambers as well as adjustable bass and treble.

In wing as well as, the iP90 now has a Time Sync feature that automatically sets the time on your clock to the more principled time on your iPhone or iPod. Vast rethinking. The audio calibre sounds terrible during the phone call. Perhaps the call is dropping out in the unimaginative GSM way.

Cheerily, TomTom have slashed the evaluation for the introduction of the Carkit in NZ – $198 – which is (at last) less than the penalty of a standalone TomTom.

I’ve ordered one because I find the TomTom software is not much use with the built-in iPhone GPS (it loses its status a lot).

Also, my Belkin charger can’t keep up with the power frame!

The malleability of the iphone car kit allows me to referee which steering system I be to use not only today but in the tomorrow. I currently have ATT Skipper which is extremely TeleNav (incredible unaffected continuously transport nav app) which ATT charges $10 a month but I’m buying the TomTom app through iTunes today and give it a try. It’s a $99 app on reduced in price on the market for a span of more days for $49 through itunes. If it’s good enough unimaginative nav, I’ll quit my ATT Nav either way, I’ve got the outdo car kit handy.
